Setting Up the Market – Photos

by Loreen on July 22, 2010

The Market has a comfortable rhythm. Every Wednesday, early in the afternoon, the vans, cars and trucks roll on in to City Hall, where Market volunteers direct them to their spaces.  The vendors set up their canopies and tables, arrange their produce, chat with one another, and prepare for us shoppers.  At 4, the Market bell rings and the shopping begins. Then at 8, when the sun begins to fade, the vendors do just the reverse; they pack up and drive home.

Here’s what it looks like when the vendors begin to set up. They do this in rain, wind and sun!
