Meet me at the Market! Wednesday 4:00 – 8:00 PM
Get your seasonal fruit and vegetables at the market for optimum health! Did you know that by eating in season, fresh produce (not stored) you are providing your body with the best nutrients possible?
By supporting the Sammamish Market you are assuring that our local farmers will continue to come. Thank you for contributing to a healthier community!
Shopping at the Sammamish Farmers Market is a great way to meet local farmers and get fresh, flavorful produce. Stop by to see chef Kris Evans of Spazzo Italian Grill, between 4:30 and 6:00 doing a cooking demonstration using fresh, locally grown, and seasonal produce from the farmers at the market.
It’s also Arts and Crafts day this week at the market; so in addition to the fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, and food join us for unique gifts and crafts. Each Wednesday, in addition to fresh produce, organic meats, handmade pastas, artisinal cheeses, and gourmet ice creams, there are vendors with kale, chard, artichokes, bok choy, beets, zucchini, and different kinds of lettuce. And these are just a few examples of what you will find at the market each week.
Looking for honky-tonk music? The Bird Watchers will pump live music into the market on Wednesday. Don’t let your children miss the special craft project, using vegetables to design a great, fun-looking stamp! And at the non-profit booth, we will have the King County Noxious Weed Control Program staff on hand to answer questions and provide information.
Another beautiful afternoon & evening is on tap this week. Come celebrate the season and the gorgeous summer weather at the Sammamish Farmers Market! It’s a great place to shop for local produce, meet friends, enjoy the outdoors, and listen to some great live local musicians!
