Come one, come all to the grand opening festivities of
the inaugural season of the Sammamish Farmers Market on
Wednesday, May 21st at 3:45 PM!
There will be presentation of the flag by Boy Scout
Troop #751, a trumpet fanfare and a formal ribbon
cutting by the Mayor of Sammamish, Lee Fellinge to
kick-off the opening day of the first seasonal market in
the community.
With over 20 farmers, vendors and artisans scheduled to
participate we expect the market to be a vibrant
community gathering place. Each week the market will
offer a seasonal array of fresh vegetables, fruits, and
flowers, local arts and crafts, and specialty prepared
foods as well as special events and music.
As a community gathering place the market will be a
location to discover a new recipe and find out about
local organizations and businesses. Special education
outreach will teach about recycling and sustainable
practices. And most importantly, shopping at the market
weekly for your food will support local family farms and
businesses.
We hope that you will join us on the 21st for what
should be a festive afternoon and that you will enjoy
the market throughout the season.

Spring greens of all kinds- baby lettuce, kale, arugula,
swiss chard, beet greens, mizuna, frisee, mustard, and
more; tomatoes (fresh from the greenhouse); apples;
rhubarb; green garlic; baby onions; baby japanese
turnips; radishes, baby beets; asparagus; potatoes;
sunchokes; carrots; dried fruits; fresh bread and
pastries; varietal flower honeys.
